Udmurt

There are over 300 000 Udmurt speaking people who live mainly in Udmurtia. Udmurt language has an official status in Udmurt Republic in Russia. It is used widely in social networks and there are many cultural projects, bands and art in Udmurt language. We organised a comics workshop together with youth center LIFT in Izhevsk in 2016. After that there have been many comics exhibitions and events in Izhevsk. We want to thank Library no 23 and language activists Aleksey Shklayev and Lukeria Shikhova for being active in organising events related to comics and Udmurt language.
