Moksha

There are about 150 000 Moksha speaking people in the Republic of Mordovia. It is located in the western side of Volga river in Russia. Moksha is one of the three official languages of Mordovia alongside with Russian and its closest relative, Erzya language. There’s a Moksha language newspaper “Mokshen Pravda” as well as TV and radio programs. We organised a comics workshop for Moksha speaking participants and students in the State University in the Mordovian capital city Saransk in February 2018.
